# of years teaching yoga:

Do you have a second professional life?
I have worked in Financial Services for 15 years.

What are your outside interests outside the studio?
I am married to the love of my life, Michelle (also a yoga instructor at Lyons Den). Spending quality time with her and our families is my priority outside of the yoga studio.

Where’s your favorite space to rejuvenate in the city?
NYC Diners (specifically Gee Wiz on Greenwich Street and The Kitchen Sink on 5th St. and 2nd Ave.). Breakfast anytime and unlimited coffee always hits the spot! You can take the boy out of Jersey, but you can’t take Jersey out of the boy.

Favorite pre- and post-yoga snacks/meals:
Pre-yoga – Nothing; try to keep at minimum 2-hour window between eating and practice. Post-yoga – My go to snack is pretzels and hummus (typically holds me until dinner). Post-yoga meal – breakfast “anytime” at the diner (see above).

What’s your favorite pose?

The pose I have a complicated relationship with:
Twisting/Revolved Chair Pose.

What song can you put on repeat?
Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen.

When I practice I get:
get out of my head.
